With more than 20 years of experience, Melfire combines licensed trades, specialist equipment and hands-on industry knowledge to deliver dependable fire protection services across Melbourne and surrounding areas.

We Work for the Client. No One Else.
Melfire works directly with building owners, owners corporations and facility managers. We do not work for builders and we do not operate as a subcontractor.
By keeping external contractors to a minimum and completing as much work as possible through our own team, we maintain greater control over quality, coordination and accountability.
When work falls outside our licensed trades, we help our clients coordinate with their preferred suppliers rather than adding unnecessary margins to someone else’s labour.
That independence means our advice is straightforward: when we recommend a repair, it’s because the building needs it.
Our Own Plant & Equipment
Owning our own plant and specialist equipment means faster mobilisation, greater control over our work and less reliance on hire companies and third parties.
How We Work
Melfire has been servicing buildings across Melbourne since 2004, with a strong focus on long-term fire maintenance, practical repairs and reliable client support. Melfire takes a whole-of-building approach to fire maintenance. We look beyond individual inspections to understand how wet systems, fire panels, passive measures and compliance requirements work together across the property.
By completing as much work as possible through our own team, we can maintain better coordination, provide practical advice and respond efficiently when repairs or upgrades are needed.
We also focus on understanding why defects occur, not just fixing the immediate problem. This helps us provide solutions that are practical, appropriate and better suited to the long-term needs of the building.
Our goal is simple: understand the site, maintain the systems properly and give clients straightforward advice about what genuinely needs to be done.
Fire Pumps Are Our Specialty
Fire pumps are a key area of Melfire’s expertise. We provide testing, servicing, repairs, upgrades and replacement works for fire pump systems across commercial and multi-residential properties throughout Melbourne.
Our team works on complete pump room systems, including pumps, valves, pipework, controls and associated equipment. We assess the condition of the existing installation and recommend practical solutions based on the needs of the building.
Where required, Melfire can quote, fabricate, install and commission replacement components and pump sets. In many cases, ageing equipment can be upgraded or replaced in situ, helping improve the condition and reliability of the pump room without unnecessarily turning the work into a larger project.
Our focus is on keeping fire pump systems reliable, maintainable and ready to perform when required. Whether the work involves routine servicing, fault investigation, repairs or a larger pump room upgrade, we aim to provide clear advice and a practical path forward.
