What is a five-yearly booster test?
Under AS 1851-2012, fire hydrant systems in buildings with booster connections must undergo a full pressure and flow test every five years. This confirms the system can deliver the required flow and pressure when boosted by a fire brigade appliance — exactly as it would be in a real fire. It’s one of the most important maintenance activities on a building’s fire services, and one that’s often missed.

- All valves checked and confirmed operational
- Block plans checked against the installed system
- Fire pumps serviced
- Full boost pressure and flow tests completed using our own appliance
