Reliable Fire Pump Engine Solutions Without Upgrades

MELFIRE specialises in the repair of most pieces of wet fire equipment. In the photos above, you can see a circa 6-year-old 380T Diesel engine, which has failed in an outdoor enclosure. These 380T engines are not comparable to a Perkins, CAT, or John Deere engine and are priced much lower. Unfortunately, rapid developments in Chinese Technology caused issues. The importer of the 380T could not offer us a new engine. They also did not have replacement parts.

MELFIRE found a factory in China still using the 380T template. They imported the engine directly to Australia. They could bolt-in/bolt-out the engine without changing any site conditions that would trigger an upgrade, building permit, or compliance issues.

MELFIRE also operate our own specialised lifting equipment, trucks and fabrication facilities, allowing all of this work to be done in-house, from the import of the engine to the lifting work on site!

Outcome: Successful engine replacement and completion of the 5-yearly report on the system.
